World Cup 2014: Are you ready to cheer on the Socceroos in Brazil? We're pumped at Ambient Lounge Australia!

June 2014, Brazil is buzzing with the upcoming Fifa World Cup. Aussies are buzzing too ... it's the greatest show on earth and it's back bigger and more colourful than ever this year in the land of Carnivale, beaches, music and extroversion - not to mention the most attractive football.

The Socceroos are there for the third time in a row (and only the fourth time ever) and blooding a young and green (but not gold) team against the might of Spain, Holland and Chile. It's a spine-chilling prospect with only faint hope of scrounging out some results to fluke our way through to the next stage. But who knows? Remember Cameroon in 1990? The World Cup is full of magic and who's to say the Aussies can't pull something out of their kangaroos pouches to shock the world. As a kid i remember the Socceroos once beating World number 1 Argentina 4-1 with the mighty Maradona in the side, so anything can happen on a football field. That's what makes the game so great!

So for those who don't know the fixture and Aussie viewing times for the Socceroos in Brazil Wolrd cup 2014, here they are:

Game 1: Australia Socceroos vs Chile. Saturday 14th June. (Australian viewing time 8:00 am)

Ambient Lounge Expert Says: Good time to wake up in the morning, have a coffee and kick back on your Ambient Lounge. This game is crucial, if the Aussie are any chance to advance they need to try and steal all three points and get off to a flier. Will need to surprise Chile with a fast game and fast counter attack.

Game 2: Australia Socceroos vs Netherlands. Thursday 19th June. (Australian viewing time 2:00 am)

Ambient Lounge Expert Says: Tell the boss you will be at work late friday morning (they probably will be too) stay up and have a few nervous beers or wines and watch one of the old titans (the Dutch orange army) take on the Aussies. This isn't as daunting as it looks with Holland fielding a team of aging stars and some new blood, plus the fact that the Socceroos havent lost to Holland in the past 3 games - even with their side that made the last World Cup final. Socceroos best result here is probably to play for the draw and consolidate any points we may have squeezed out from the first game. Dutch courage and Aussie grit needed to stop Van Persie, Robben etc!

Game 3: Australia Socceroos vs Spain. Tuesday 24th June. (Australian viewing time 2:00 am)

Ambient Lounge Expert Says: Well this is it! Tuesday bluesday and be prepared to lose day. Let's hope we have a few point in the bag by now becasue we are gonna be shooting for a miracle against the current World Champs. Aussies will probably need to "park the bus" in the box and hope to sneak something out of Tim Cahill on the counter attack or Josh Kennedy from a set piece. It's a huge longshot but hope the ball falls our way and the Spanish can get frustrated if we hold them goaless in the first half. Socceroos get anything and they will make World headlines. Chance for some Aussie to be a hero and enter Wolrd Cup folkore. No logic but could it be Tom Rogic?
